A young boy witnesses an act of violence in his family and has to make the most awful choice in order to survive. The director asked for a score that would consist of one uninterrupted cue. Also, he asked that the score be entirely diatonic. The challenge was to create compelling Horror music without employing the rich palette of dissonance and chromaticism.
