ODYSSEUS
Book, Music and Lyrics by Clifford. J. Tasner
Created by Clifford J. Tasner as his college thesis, ODYSSEUS is a pop opera first performed at Tufts University in 1985 with Tasner conducting and music directing. An "epic" adaptation of Homer's The Odyssey, the production was a smash hit on campus and went on to be workshopped by professional actors and musicians in 1993 and again in 2000. It is no less relevant or entertaining today than it was thousands of years ago (aka in the 1980's).
